Any thoughts of filming Avengers style with all the performers and stitching the content all together? I miss the finales where the majority of performers come together for a final battle.

Maybe we will but perhaps not on such a grand scale. We did a few big ones, I still count the season 3 one as the most difficult as just arranging everyone to be in the room at the same time was very difficult. Also, at one point in the video I think 10 people are in the room and 9 of them had lines. You really don’t see this in professional movie making or TV because it is very time consuming and tricky. I’m very pleased we did it, but at the time it was difficult.

Rather than an Avengers storyline I’d love a Sinister Six style storyline. There’s 3 vs 1 in the Celestia Vistor videos, and 4 vs 1 in one of Celestia’s photoshoots. I love the odds being so absurdly and horribly against the heroine, and would love to see more of that and my top candidate for heroine in that scenario is Lady X. Though of course i understand that it’s difficult.

Yes, after we made it I’d probably be glad we did it, but difficult to arrange and make in the time we have. I’d probably have to charge quite a lot for it regardless of length, that’s really the only trade off that would make it possible, and I don’t know if enough people would part with $30 for a 12 minute video.

sorry i meant the shooting style not the storyline. Have each performer act their part in the film when they are in and then put it together that way. Using tricky angles to make it look like they were there on the same day.

Oh like a multi-scene video? It’s possible. We’d probably only do it for Story though. The trouble with that is being certain you can get everything you want, because if you can’t get the second scene after filming the first, or heavily delayed, you’ve got basically useless footage on the shelf. But I’m always aware of logistical headaches, we could do it.

If money were no object? Hmmm, I think simply stuff that our way of filming makes impossible. I would probably buy a large warehouse and kit it out with various sets we can use: heroine HQ, various villain lairs, and I’d get lots of props made, and maybe a tank of some kind you could fill with water or whatever. Stuff like that.

1) Around 2012-14 I had a script I’d written (not superheroine related) getting read and appraised by major film studios but I was finally told after 2 years of getting moved about that they didn’t want to take it forward due to the idea not having a book or fanbase behind it. Had they green-lit it then it would have made NGC impossible for a few years, and then who knows? I can’t work for people, back then I’d have gritted my teeth because it would have been life changing money and only for a couple of years. The movie industry is very different now and I have no interest in the pain I’d be put through to get anywhere.
2) It wasn’t an option, and at this point I’m closer to their Dad’s age than theirs. Lovely ladies and I’ve enjoyed knowing most of them but I have never felt comfortable with the idea of paying someone and then hitting on them. I think if you are on the same level its okay, but as the boss not really. Maybe after they left? If it had happened then I’m certain no one would worry about favouritism. Mostly I see each active actress 4 or 5 times a year and they’ve got loads of other jobs, this is just an occasional project for them.

There was a Chinese company who were doing our costumes without permission somewhere. I was tempted to order one to see what they’d actually make because they didn’t show any examples, just a picture of our character as an example.
Anyway, no I don’t think so because I doubt we’d sell more than a couple. A proper cosplayer would likely make their own anyway. If a mainstream cosplayer started making NGC costumes that would be funny.

How long does it take for a video to be posted, from the first conception to final product? What are the steps along the way?

Well typically I will look at who I’d like to film more of, contact them about availability, usually arrange something a month ahead of time.
I will probably have had an idea about what the video will be before even contacting, so then I will write the script. If we need a costume or prop I will arrange that so it is ready in time.
I send out scripts a week before the shoot, no point giving it earlier as they won’t look at it until a week to go.
We do the shoot, and then it goes into the editing queue. The length of that depends on how busy we’ve been. Usually though it will be completed about a month after the shoot and I will slot it into the release schedule based on who is in it and what happens. The release can be as little as 6 weeks after it is shot and as much as a year.

In the early days, you used to do a camera shake when characters would land a strike. Why did you decide to do that, and what made you decide to stop using that effect?

Our camera guy over that period really liked the Japanese stuff, and there was a fair bit of shake on impact there, so we did it for a few years. It was quite dynamic, and it also hid a few slightly average punches.
We stopped because I didn’t like it anymore, partly because when making preview caps you couldn’t use anything from the impact because it was a blurry frame. I felt we were losing more than we were gaining with it.

Last time I asked if there were any surprisingly pleasant anecdotes you had to share about your heroines doing something that you didn’t ask for. Now, do you have any similar stories from any of your villains/villainesses?

By and large the villains are more trained in the fighting and stunts, so they are more likely to come up with moves based on their capabilities.
I think probably the first Erica v Dominator fight in the ring, the Dominator kept coming up with various nasty holds, and thankfully our heroine was prepared to just get stretched wherever, and that’s a great video because of it.

I think I’ve asked this before. but would you ever consider bringing back an old costume more permanently for a new actress? I know that you’re doing new dimensions, and I love seeing the alternates and throwbacks there, but I really think there a few classic costumes that didn’t get enough play. Red Glory, Shadowstar (which everyone looks great in), Spectrum, and recently you released a photoshoot with Patriot Girl in the Powerstar outfit which looked splendid.
Maybe it’s too big of a pain, but man, some of those earlier costumes that have been banished would sure be a welcome sight to my (and I hope others’) eyes. Can’t believe I forgot to include Comet Girl in this btw lol.

There are sizing limitations. So Red Glory, and Comet Girl are small costumes which limits who can wear them. Spectrum is small in other ways so you need to have an actress happy to wear it which isn’t that easy.
We have a new Carmen Black so we’ve done it there, I don’t rule it out but generally I dont want to have multiple actresses for one character.

I dont have multiples, they are bespoke costumes, so it has to fit. They are all stretchy to an extent, but you can’t put a 5’9 actress in a costume designed for a 5’2 actress.

Maybe it’s too similar to VTV and The Championship series, but have you ever given any thought to doing a series of videos that are set in the 7th Dimension? Featuring all of the banished/captured/enslaved heroines battling impossible odds and suffering colossal defeat after defeat? Could be fun and have some fun sets (probably more of a pain in the butt than I’m making it seem there).

Yeah, quite a few. A proper Black Widow one, then I even have ideas that aren’t superheroine but general sci-fi like Seven of Nine or Wilma Deering. But there’s loads. I think what puts me off is to make a whole new costume is expensive so I need to be sure I will use it at least a few times, and if the first one tanks then I’ve wasted a lot of money!

Oh she was just extremely green. Interesting character, very bright, but had very little experience in acting. It was worth a punt because I liked her look but we didn’t really have time to get her up to speed and I think she moved on from acting pretty quickly. It doesn’t have to be your favorites necessarily, but the 5 from each side that you think would fare best in such a battle.

Well if we ignore personality clashes and general attitude I think a good team would be pre-nerf Miss Freedom for obscene power, Angel for base mind control, Athena as triage nurse, Spectrum as a powerful swiss-army knife, and maybe in concert with her Supreme Sentinel because Shield Mode interchanging with Specturms blue power would mean a good amount of tanking, and its a 5 that is well-balanced.
For villains probably John Roman so they actually have a coherent strategy… Miss Suppression and Katia would be a powerhouse combo, Alaric if he can take orders, and maybe Acolyte because he is one cold bastard and decent with gadgets.

1) I’d quite like to, it is really a case of working out a story I want you do and who to do it with.
2) You’ll have to remind me what actually came out, not a strong year in my mind but maybe I’m overlooking something.
3) I’m afraid most I can think of are getting up in years a bit now. I see a lot of Sydney Sweeney Power-Girl ai pics, and I think someone needs to make that happen. I am also taken with Alexandra Daddario and wouldn’t mind seeing how she looked in a Wonder Woman costume.
4) The problem is just it wouldn’t get supported. Which isn’t a complaint, people like superheroines here. As I say in another answer I would consider maybe a sci-fi character on Action Cosplay, because at least there is a costume involved, maybe it would sell a few?

How close are we to ever getting another Metro Girl video? Seeing the Wonderstrike actress is still around I will feel it will be a waste not to see her in that full blue catsuit again, and hopefully fully debooted like she was in a photoset she did in that costume.
I know the original costume was destroyed but maybe getting some cheap replacements that also get shreded during the shot could be an option? Small costume malfunctions or seams popping could be a really interesting concept for a power suit like that one. The heroine exceeding the limits of the suits could destroy it a bit so you would have the excuse to justify seams popping during a shot

We’re definitely going to do more Danger Room. I don’t rule out working with her again, I do like her but whenever we use her we need to think a bit outside the box in terms of format because she can’t do masses of fighting. This can be quite cool in the case of her first Shadow Fox video, but it all depends on the ideas we have and whether or not it fits.

How has AI effected your work with NGC?

Not all that much. In the Watcher video we used it for the shots of schools, prisons, offices etc.. Because we only needed 5 seconds and though it took a few attempts to stop people walking through walls or randomly disappearing, it was way cheaper than having to get a license for stock footage and really did enhance that video. For the most part it will allow us to maybe have establishing shots that are cool, or intersperse a bomb going off in a city somewhere, I think we did that in one video. Aside from that I’ve used it to tidy up slightly ropey stills that otherwise we wouldn’t have released, and I’ve used it to upscale old photos, and then anything you do is really just normal photoshop editing. It has helped me present costume designs better to the costume maker, because I can get a lifelike render of how it is supposed to look which is way better than MS Paint or whatever.
How does it help us in the long run? I think we are a long way off being able to make an AI video even if we wanted to. You’ve probably seen that the fight dynamics are really bad, and that will actually be one of the hardest things for it to master. A few of our actors do a lot of motion capture work, and that isn’t slowing down, ramping up if anything because AI really struggles with the way people move and a fight is an extreme example of that.
Additionally, I think people want to see real people doing real things and always will. There has been tons of AI content out there for a few years but it hasn’t stopped people buying from us and I think that will continue.

Well that’s because I basically hate these kinds of questions. Sometimes I don’t know for certain to say either way and then my answer is treated as gospel. On occasion people do come back after a break. It doesn’t look likely she will be back.

I especially love the episodes where the heroine is captured and bound by villain. StarshotInfinity-GirlDangerRoom comes to mind for having the two helpless heroines tied in the background while they struggle against their bonds. The villains have their dialog determining the fate of the heroine, all the while she’s visible in the background struggling to get out of the situation. Big fan of the Watcher here recently but also remember back to Sonica against the wall while the villain sit’s back and enjoys his prize.
Looking forward to more episodes where heroine becomes a trophy on the wall at least temporarily for the villains. It’s funny how she always manages to get free and fight another day 🙂

I would like to watch Supreme Centinel fighting against two bad guys, but, first of all, she only fights with one of them when the second bad guy appears surprising her and they give her a great beatdown, between others thing, because the second bad guy comes with american silver duct tape and he bounds her by her arms with the silver duct tape and he also gags her, while both guys beat her, until she loses after many hits.

Sounds like a custom request to me! I’m not sure we have American Duct tape, but I wouldn’t use it on the surface of the costume because it will likely wreck the costume for no good reason, also on skin getting it back off is pretty unpleasant for the actresses so we use it sparingly in that regard.

It’s Okay, comprensible, I understand you don’t want to use duct tape because it would ruin the costumes, fine, but instead of duct tape, use a lot of rope over her arms and a cleave in her mouth (although duct tape doesn’t really hurt that much to remove). Anyway, with the rope and the cleave, while Supreme Sentinel is getting beaten up, would it be possible, please? I think everyone here would love to watch that video and we’d pay for it without hesitation!

The next Lady X video is never too far away. I don’t know exactly when but not months and months. I’ll announce when customs are open to the members on an email. It’s typically when we are gearing up to start filming again. We don’t film in winter.
It varies. Some of them want to see everything they were in, others don’t. A lot of actors in any type of video/film don’t really like watching themselves. They enjoy the process of making stuff and performing, but hate watching back after. I don’t really know who lurks to read comments, I don’t get masses of feedback, occasionally one might say “It sounded like X we made was very popular” and then I’ll know, but it isn’t a point of huge discussion.

About the transformation series any chance You have plans to explore more about superheroines secret identities, maybe in her civilian persona she looks vulnerable and later she change her clothes to her superheroine persona and starts the action. It’s an interesting idea. The way the NGC story has been is that the heroines don’t actually have alter egos. When they are in civilian clothing it is for an undercover sting. So there isn’t a situation where a heroine is a cop most of the time and then when things get rough she’ll turn into her heroine costume.

As for most powerful? It is hard to overlook the Dominator as she has crushed supposedly powerful heroines several times.

Yeah, I think we’ll make the odd thing that is lower on combat and more ‘other stuff’, that is kind of how ‘The Watcher’ was, and we’ve got a few more like that to come.
I don’t watch their stuff, I’m aware of it and good on them for making the effort. I simply wouldn’t trust YouTube not to take it all down on a whim and then you basically have to start from scratch, that’s untenable to me. Perhaps there are fewer idiots working there now, but our main account got closed because of copyright strikes against ourselves. I kept telling them “No, I own this” they didn’t want to listen. The YouTube stuff I’m doing now is really a gamble that they’ve grown up a bit, but I’d never risk making a whole video just for YouTube. In general though I don’t really look at other stuff, making a video a week kind of maxes out how much time I want to spend on this stuff. I understand things are a bit quieter now, but maybe it has picked up.

I’m sure there will be more yes. Snare’s dead so competition is the least of his problems but I think it’s always a fun way to illustrate things going a bit badly for the heroine.

Hmm, I can’t think of anyone longer. There were quite big gaps between his appearances at times, but in terms of date of first shoot and date of last probably the longest.

So, Snare is dead and gone for good? Zora killed him in a Solo Missions video, so I wasn’t sure if that meant he was permanently gone. He was loads of fun and his first-to-last tenure was very long, all good things etc., but I’ll miss him and his particular specialty if we never see him again. Other villains will have to step up their binding game.

1) Have you considered updating the opening title montage? I love seeing the old stalwarts, but it could use an update, no? Sorry there was no way to ask that without sounding pushy (and I don’t mean to be) and I’m sure it’s a lot of work, but it’s something I’ve been curious about for awhile.
2) Assuming you watch the show Taskmaster, which 5 heroines would you like to see cast in that show, and which 5 villains? If you don’t watch, well then just scratch that question!

1) Yes it definitely does, I gave an editor the job a year ago and they just have never got around to it. But it will happen fairly soon.
2) I have seen it but I’m not sure if I’m picking for powers or intellect. It kind of depends on the task as you who I would pick.

Yeah I was thinking that as a way to give us a bit more insight into the actresses/actors. 1) the quippy old vet who doesn’t care about winning, losing, or putting in effort. 2) the try hard fan who has big successes and big failures. 3) the lunatic who is all over the place with their problem solving. 4) the rule follower who mostly ends up middle of the road but has a few spectacular successes. 5) The brilliant one who struggles to complete the tasks despite their own massive intellect

Ok, i have a few question. First of all, im intrigued on knowing who is the strongest heroine in a top 5. For me Bluebird, Comet Girl, Celestia, maybe Virtue and of course Miss Freedom are on the top. But i wonder to know who is the most powerfull cannonically? And then, i have a question about Sadie Sink, could be back again in a new series, or maybe just her character again in a near future? (maybe now could be a heroine and not a villain). Hope you have a nice week!

There are strength ratings on the character bio pages for this. I haven’t looked recently but I would guess that Miss Freedom and Patriot Girl are tops.

If you mean physical strength then by the numbers it is actually Lady Atom at 95 (when her nuclear reactor is dialed up to 10, alas we didn’t see much of her), Lady Victory at 93, Majesty and Princess at 92, and Patriot-Girl and Spectrum at 91. Bluebird and Comet Girl don’t rely on strength, Virtue’s strength would be inflated versus someone she is compatible against, and Miss Freedom from season 1 would be the strongest ever.
Sadie Sink I believe is an actress in Stranger Things, if you mean Sadie Paine I am doubtful, I’ve not seen her for about 12 years.

As someone who could never afford a custom, would you consider accepting suggestions from members for a particular scenario that would be part of a video and then selecting the ones you like and shooting them?

I do listen to good ideas, and think to myself when I read them “Oh yeah, I should do that” but I wouldn’t formally arrange a shoot at the behest of a comment and have the character they wanted, because that is essentially a free custom and it isn’t very fair on the people who help the site by ordering them. I don’t make many customs; 10-12 a year, and I could make way more. I don’t do it because I think in the long run we’d lose track of what we are doing, but the funding of 10-12 videos, even without editing costs which I will carry, really helps us.

Yes, of course. I wasn’t suggesting a shoot centred around the scenario, just a brief segment of the video that brings to life the idea presented. There are easy to film situations that I’ve never seen. I’ll send an example of what I mean via email.

Would you say she’s the most popular superheroine right now in the business idk if it’s just me but I definitely look forward to her videos the most her abs with her costume is just perfectly made and her personality is the best.
Another question where would u say she’s ranks in the heroines in terms of like strength she does end up taking quite a few beatings which I do enjoy and alot of the times she will try using her powers which end up with her dazed and under the villains control, however she is one of the more flexible and athletic ones being that she’s able to do that cartwheel kick and even in defeat when she does the splits on the ropes, loved that btw.

She’s popular, and very engaged with working with us so that means we like to shoot with her a lot. Vastly better than having a popular actress who is aloof and non-committal which has happened on occasion. Lady X isn’t physically all that strong. Theoretically she has a really good power, though she uses it quite tamely. Probably a good thing such a nice person has it.
