Hello all who read this update. We’re not shooting masses at the moment, we did shoot something last week and the weather Gods shone their hate on us by making it so hot the camera quit for a few minutes. Actually a new one on me “Why is the camera breathing?” I wondered. BUT despite that we made some cool stuff. I wonder if you’ll be able to spot what it was? Lots and lots of sweat! The heroine definitely looked like she’d been through a lot by the end of it.
I wanted to talk again about Member Gifts. I mentioned a number of months ago mixing things up a bit, the Member Gifts we’re putting out now aren’t actually that old… I’m not sure how this happened but I feel like we’re catching ourselves up. So to have a bit of a breather, I’ve got a couple of ideas; GIF packs from classic or semi-classic videos. I’m a bit of a GIF fiend, I quite enjoy the catching of a specific moment the way that they do. If you have suggestions for certain videos you’d like me to make gifs of then I might actually listen to you!
Other ideas are where we have behind the scenes photos, there aren’t masses of these because we tend to set up posed shoots on set and not be taking them while talking through moves etc.. But there are some, maybe some raw files, I’ll have a dig around, but perhaps bits and pieces from the distant past may exist.
We’ll be back to a much fuller shooting schedule from late August and through autumn, which like spring is an important shooting period for us. I think I’d ask, rather than who you want to see more of (this is dictated largely by factors outside my control), what style’s of videos would you want to see more of? Personally I’m thinking more Transform, but VTV (if so, what kind?), more Action Cosplay, Squashes, Ignus Labs? This is a good opportunity to let me know as attention turns to what we’ll shoot in August and September.

No, that excreble piece of legislation is meant for services that allow user to user sharing. For example, if this website allowed all of you to upload pictures and videos to this blog, or DM one another privately, then I’d have to get really heavy with content moderation. But it isn’t something you can do, and any links out in comments always get swept up by the moderation bot for me to check.
As for content, while I’ve no doubt there will be people who simply don’t like it, it isn’t actually 18+ content, but it cannot be purchased by minors as they don’t have credit or debit cards they can buy with.
Additionally, all the main social media platforms (for whom this legislation is really after) now have to fully comply, and that means if they don’t think I’m compliant they won’t allow me to advertise or have a page with them.
It is still vindictive overreach by a nanny state, and another of many laws like it where they can use it against you if you say something like “This is the worst government of my lifetime, and holy shit that’s a low bar” – if someone were to say that, they might try to find ways to mess up your life, not that I’m saying that, not at all.

I always appreciate the videos that have more story or are creativity different. The Living Dolls still stands out because it had a creep factor and intriguing antagonist. Any action that isn’t one sided and has fun banter is always fun. That’s just me though, I don’t know what’s popular or doable.

Yes I want more variety too and that video was a nice example. It is difficult to be wholly original every week, and I think the people who like our usual stuff might get upset, but we’re trying to do more.

I do as well. I’m a more one sided fight kind of guy, but I do like those kind of stories that have dire consequences should the heroine lose. Don’t mind a back and forth either, but like a conclusion end for a losing heroine. Like the latest Echo release where her promising career could end with her becoming some creepy man’s pet. Either that or something just very dire and unfortunate like you said, becoming a living doll. I would definitely welcome more ideas like that for sure.

Generally speaking, my favorite parts of these types of videos are the finishing moves. So anything that allows more of that is what I enjoy most.
Examples would be multi round stuff like NGC Championship, VR stuff like the aforementioned Ignus Labs and finally the Requiem multiverse vids. These types of scenarios allow for multiple KOs or deaths while still making it somewhat plausible.
This would mainly be for side stories that don’t affect the actual NGC storyline. Trying to tell a story while incorporating Multiverse BS is a recipe for disaster (see current day Marvel).
May need to hire a new “Time Pirate” actress if the Requiem actress is gone, though. Haven’t seen her in ages.
For Member’s Gifts, if you run out of older material to incorporate you could potentially just use the unused material from THAT week’s video itself as the Member’s Gift going forward. It could be a pain, but you may just want to tell the performers, “Hey, let’s do a few different versions of this scene so I have crap to put in the Member’s Gift video” lol
But yeah, those are my thoughts. Take them with a grain of salt, though. My tastes tend to be different from most on this site from what I have seen. Take care.

Yes, lot’s of different ideas. Yes, multiverse stuff needs to be far away from a main storyline… a little surprising they couldn’t work that out seeing as that is their entire job for which they are phenomenally well paid. I might see what Requiem is up to. Last we spoke she had a knee problem that she didn’t want to agitate and I’m afraid the nature of this stuff is you just sort of move on, find someone else and that’s that. She was great though, really nice actress.
I’d never make the Member Gift the same as the main video. I hate to sound all capitalistic, but the point of the Member Gift is to push people on the fence about a release to actually buy it, so if they are unsure about a new character or whatever, the gift needs to be something they do want to make it worth the punt. Which it always, always is.

Also, anything with the Iron Mistress/Power-Woman actress in the pipeline? Any plans on making her a heroine character in NGC or just going to stick with the villainess character? I prefer f/f stuff so I SHOULD be happy whenever a new villainess enters the scene. However, I feel like this actress excelled at the whole “powerful heroine slowly losing her confidence” aspect in her AC outings. So it’s like a double edged sword for me to see her enter NGC as a villainess, lol.
I wouldn’t mind seeing her in that Living Doll outfit again…minus the creepy mask and non-human mannerisms. Maybe in a future Multiverse Annihilation vid? lol
Also, there have been a few brutal endings to some characters recently. Are these actresses leaving or are you going to still be able to use them in side story stuff? Just curious if that was a way to send them off into the sunset because the actresses let you know they would be leaving or if it was just done for story purposes.

We’re still planning to use her in other roles, but no plans to give her a heroine role in NGC. I was and still am broadly happy with who we have available to us. Of course there is always churn, but when I made that decision I needed a physically strong villainess more than a new heroine.
Dying in the story doesn’t always mean they’re leaving. In fact, I’ve had a lot more trouble with people leaving and not giving me an opportunity to resolve their character.
We do 5 or 6 Story videos a year so there’s plenty of others they can appear in.

Since you asked, I’ve always been a huge Danger Room fan since its premiere. So naturally I’d love to see more of those, or videos of a similar nature.

Like others and yourself have already mentioned, I like the idea of a bit more variety. I personally would love to see a few full peril vids much like what the guys are kickassfemmes do every couple of months, and I was a really big fan of the Kandy crisis stuff you guys did together. Especially if there is the occasional episode of a heroine being tortured for info or even just for the fun of the villain (obvs not with any of the sexualisation of a lot of other heroine video producers, I’m not massively into that either.)
That being said I also really enjoy story focused vids and when the heroine is dominating at the start but then maybe gets overpowered or outnumbered for a duration of the video and in those vids I’m also very open to the heroine either winning or losing. For me I like to see that the heroine was actually more than capable of at least going toe to toe with the villain for a duration of time and then being overpowered in some way that isn’t reliant on something like a kryptonite to de-power the heroine, I like to see that she’s still supposed to be strong even when things aren’t going well for her…. If any of that makes sense and isn’t just gobbledegook.
As for the members gifts, maybe having a few GIFs of the parts in the photoshoots that aren’t in any of the films or of the separate photoshoots you do? Not sure if this would be easy or a viable thing for you, I’m probably more just thinking out loud.
I enjoy your films though so keep up the good work and keep fighting the good fight!

Thanks. I think we try and make the heroines capable rather than just some ordinary girl playing dress-up, but I’ll look into it. As for behind the scenes Gifs, unfortunately the footage has to exist to make a gif from it, the camera is being used to take the photos. We’ve had some video shot at designated photoshoots, but I’ve already put a lot of that out.

I also just had an idea that could be cool. For variation, what about a story of a superheroine becoming disillusioned with being a heroine and starts to walk a grey line between being good and evil? An antihero I guess. Maybe there could be an episode of her defeating a female villain but going completely overboard with a squash of the villain, way past the line of the justice. Like if it was superman or batman breaking their no killing rule.
Or maybe an arc that focuses on a female villain rather than a heroine, that could also be quite cool and would give a bit of an opportunity to flesh out some of the villain characters?
Again, these are just a few thoughts that could be terrible ideas depending on people’s preferences

It’s not that the ideas are terrible, there’s nothing wrong with them as ideas, but they’ll not sell well. I had pretty good intuition about what would sell when we started and now it is based on lots of experience.
You can say that perhaps I should make stuff that I know won’t sell for the love of the game, but I’ve done loads of that. I didn’t pay myself a penny for nearly 5 years. The season 3 finale took 8 years to break even because it took 3 long shoot days, 2 expensive locations, and 12 actors who all had lines, I’m delighted we made it though, it’s great.
I still want to try things, but frustratingly I can’t afford videos that tank, because then you need a smash hit to cover it, and I don’t want to do more than the 10-12 customs we already do a year or we couldn’t have this discussion at all, because everything we put out would be up to other people. If we sold 50% more videos it would be insane what we could do. Insane.
Really the point of these discussions is to find a way to unlock that, heaven knows we have enough people on the mailing list to do it, and followers on social media and visits to this site. That is what’s behind asking what you want more of that I can actually do, because if someone is a lapsed buyer I want to know why. I don’t keep up with other producers, but I don’t think there is another weekly released series like ours, and when we stop there won’t be a replacement, I’d like to strike the right balance now.

Sad to hear about the Requiem actress’s knee injury as she was great ! Kind of a weird comment: Can we see more of non-masked villains like Victor,Dr Progress,…instead of Nemesis and the Masked Man ? I guess the masked villains are easier to find any male actor to use but they’re kind of bland when compared to the crazy acting that comes out of actors like Victor and Dr Progress and others. Always been been a big fan of VTV. Obviosly the Danger Room is always popular, but Heroine Collecting and MHoD are both series that I’m a big fan of. It would also be nice to see the Announcer show up on VTV again, outside of the ring. Would love to see more the Ignus Lab stuff. I’d definitely like to see some more ActionCosplay, so excited to see today’s teaser 😀
It’s been name-checked a few times in this thread already, but I’d love to see more of the Living Doll. As well as just loving the creepy concept, it’s also another great way of bringing back an old heroine costume for a video, while the mask means any available actress could play the role for a video.
For members gifts, yes, I thought it seemed like you were catching up to yourself. I like the sound of both of those ideas. I think I recall in a newsletter a while back you mentioned about the idea of specially filmed short clips of he heroine posing/performing fight moves for the camera. I don’t know if that’s still a thing, but I like the idea.

Except comment earlier about finishers – I have 2 more ideas, mostly about Championship:
– more participants, but not necessary ‘clean’ fight (not always 1 v 1);
can be 1 v 1 v 1 initially, and team up temporary against one particular person; for example to perform double wrestling hold, or hit on belly while blocking arms behind back; or just attacking from behind during pinning to steal victory. Could be more unexpected and more variated.
– maybe some actual championship, with new leaderboard? In case ‘too strong’ opponents, like Nemesis, measure of ‘success’ could be how long heroine resist till submission.
And at the end small organization idea, maybe a bit more work, so I’m not sure if worth while; while having all characters in one table on main page is useful, as it grows I would add few more informations:
– status – active / retired / dead / captured / corrupted etc
– maybe active characters on separated section, as page becoming growing, and can be hard to find updates and who is active (by active I mean that actress in around and there will be more movies with her)

It’s tough because what I want to see more of is – like others – VTV, MHoD, Ignus Labs, Heroine Collecting, etc. All which I hope allow for you and the actors to have a lot of fun and round out characters so their canon storyline can be more focused. That said, I recognize those probably don’t sell as well, often being heroine v. heroine or less squash focused in their content. So what I *really* want is for NGC’s sales to skyrocket and give you the big funding to do everything, haha. For now though, I’m just happy for more Lady X, hopefully Supreme Sentinel and of course, Darkstrike.

Wow, lots of things I would suggest/favor have already been mentioned. I love the Ignus Labs videos, because they have an interesting unreality to them that’s unique. Of course, I love Transform videos and VTV. Within VTV, I’ve loved the Danger Room since its beginning, but like the Championship I feel like that series works better when there aren’t too many and each one feels a bit special. There are several other series within VTV that are terrific, like Tough Justice, Wheel of Enemies, and especially Mighty Heroines of Destiny and Heroine Collecting. There are entries that haven’t had follow-ups yet like Village Capture and Freedom Fighter that I think are worth revisiting. I’d welcome more Action Cosplay as well. I feel like that series could really go crazy with weird and consequential developments that shake things up without touching the main heroines/continuity of NGC. I’ll always stump for a heroine miniseries like Deadly Sins or Bluebird 2020.
Count me as another viewer who likes seeing heroines face off against each other, especially if there’s an interesting reason for it, but clearly there aren’t too many of us (“there are dozens of us… dozens!”)
As for GIF ideas, someone’s already mentioned that “finishing moves” are good moments to capture. I really like moments when villains lift heroines off the ground, I’m sure I could suggest some specific videos with prime examples if I thought about it. Also knockout moments, heroines getting gassed or ethered or succumbing to a bearhug. Wake up moments as well, and struggling in ropes/chains. Again, I could probably come up with some specific examples.

More Danger Room content would be cool. More peril content in general.
I like seeing the heroine defeats but it would be cool to see more defeats that are psychological as well as physical.
Maybe they won but the villain was just trying to distract them for long enough to have someone else carry out their plan elsewhere. Such as having another villain impersonate the heroine to commit a bank robbery while they’re busy fighting the main villain.
Alternatively, maybe it’s a villain that is physically weaker than the heroine but they have a heart monitor hooked up to a bomb hidden somewhere in the city. The heroine could easily beat them but can’t fight back because it would harm innocents.
Overall the stuff that has been coming out lately has been pretty good.

personally like alot of the championship matches, squashes, and transforms/vtv in that order. echo, galaxia, supreme sentinel, the new shadowstar, shining spirit, lady x, black carmen, and ubiquity are all awesome new additions to the cast/characters!! I especially like the style of video where the heroine starts walking through alleys/stairs to reach an objective (living doll with wonderstrike for example) – really sets the stage and tone for whats about to happen in my opinion. and it would always be nice to see a revivals of celestia, virtue (one recently), bluebird (couple in recent memory), angel, sonica, spectrum, red glory, and marvelette costumes at some point but im not holding my breath lol.
i dont know that i would be a fan of gifs for member gifts, but i understand the circumstance with lack of content to pull from. looking forward to the new shoots :thumbs:

Apologies in advance for being late to the party, and also for this being long winded, but hey, that’s my brand at this point.
As far as what I’d like to see suggestions. I’m always much more into the mind controlled/conquered/enslaved type videos, just my thing. So obviously VTV and Ignus labs fall under those categories. I was actually just thinking the other day how I’ve been hankering for another “Heroine Collecting” episode. Really any episode that is more of a heroine mindf$@k instead of just brute battling is always right up my alley. Not that this should come as a surprise to anyone haha. Also, I haven’t had the opportunity to fire up the Darkstrike video, but the idea of having heroines mind controlled/enticed to be evil is a very exciting/hot concept. The control collars in the earlier season of the Story were exceptional in my opinion. I always love that sort of stuff. It could be manifested in the aforementioned Living Doll series as well.
I will address the combat some here. The fighting aspects of your videos that I have always loved the most are when it seems like the actors are really leaving it all on the table. Where it looks less like a choreographed dance and more like an all out brawl (I feel this way about TV and movies as well). I don’t mean that disparagingly, but just, there are just some fight sequences that have felt more raw to me. The one that really jumps to mind is the one between Alias and Midnight in Heroine Showcase. I just loved how each character was using every move and environmental object at their disposal to incapacitate each other. So more of that? Hahah sorry I know that’s really easy for me to say and probably very challenging for your team to execute, but just saying that those are my favorite types of fights.
And lastly, I was saving this for an AMA, but I feel like it could count for a suggestion. Would you ever consider bringing some old costumes back full time for new characters? Specifically, ones that looked great but never really got a ton of lore established. For instance, I would never expect the likes of the Deceptress, Bluebird, Celestia, or Majesty costumes to make a permanent comeback; they are already too melded with their original actresses IMO. But to me, the really obvious ones are Shadowstar, Red Glory, and Infinity Girl (your actresses always look great in those costumes in photoshoots). I could also include Dreamweaver, Dynamite Doll, Sonica, and Comet Girl. I just feel like these costumes never got their full day of glory and I think would be happily welcomed back on a more full time basis by the fan base. I know they would for me at least.
Anywho, sorry to bore you with this lengthy screed. As always, appreciate everything you and your team do and look forward to seeing more superb content!

I think it would be great for newcomers to have videos from the NGC championship listed under the character pages here too. Or links to them. The linearity of the championship website makes it really hard for people to casually bump into an older video they may want to buy. I encounter this issue during sales when I scroll to find old videos I may have missed.
And I imagine someone that finds this site and ends up enjoying Miss Freedom or Bluebird would eb elated to know there is more content with them in other website. I know I would if I found another site you had where there were 3 or 4 Erica Lynn videos I had never seen!
