Alias is lured into the Duke's trap as he forces her to attempt a power she has never reached before. Namely, Wonderstrike's Wonder-Blast. The only known way to kill an infected subject without it rising again stronger. Alias needs to learn fast as well, as the Duke immediately places her in harms way. She must either kill an infected with a Wonder-Blast, or be killed herself.
Overview
Out of the blue, Alias receives a call from Lady Atom, and in civilian clothing is directed by her one-time team-mate to the safe house of the Duke. It was all a ruse. The Duke informs Alias that the infected are starting to take over, and only one power is capable of stopping them; Wonderstrike’s Wonder-Blast. But the Elite Force heroine can’t possibly do the work alone. Alias must synthesise her power and help. Alias recoils, she has never been able to replicate the wonder-blast before. The Duke declares that there is no time like the present, as he unleashes a furious infected subject on Alias. Our heroine is determined to stop it another way. At first attempting to use synthesis of Miss Freedom’s strength, then Deceptress decoy, but in each battle she makes grave errors that cause her to be over-powered. She may have no choice but to attempt what the Duke commands, or be destroyed. Can Alias save herself and humanity in the process?
